GEMA ZAMPROGNA
Gema Zamprogna is a Gemini Award nominated actor who has performed extensively in Canada, the US and abroad since the age of 8. She is best known for her portrayal of “Felicity” on the award winning CBC drama The Road to Avonlea. Trained in her youth at the renowned Theatre Aquarius Performing Arts Programme in Hamilton Ontario, Gema went on to study at Queens University completing a BA Drama. Gema has taught acting and dance for the Theatre Aquarius performing Arts programme for 15 years and has also choreographed and assistant directed the Senior Programme productions of Footloose, A Chorus Line and Guys and Dolls among others. When Gema is not teaching, she continues to work as a voice over artist for various television and radio commercials.
Gema is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and has been teaching dance to students of all ages, levels and abilities for over 20 years. Proudly born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, Gema watched as her parents Lou and Pauline Zamprogna taught, nurtured and created a love of dance and performance in their students at The Dance Centre and the Theatre Aquarius Performing Arts Programme.
